PANORAMIC House

A steep and challenging site positioned on the top of an escarpment with 360° views overlooking the Pacific Ocean, Herbert Forest and down into Waianakarua River. This site demanded a home that could capture every aspect while not being too ostentatious.

 The clients put a lot of trust in VBA Limited to come up with a design that encompassed their brief while also giving VBA Limited the freedom to create a unique home specific for them and their site.

 Panoramic House encompasses a central pavilion that anchors the home with private wings pivot off this central location. A sharp blade entry draws you into the building and once inside the central pavilion opens up with a double height clerestory lantern providing sunlight into the home from all angles.
